Getting around Boston is a breeze, no matter how you prefer to travel. The city is super walkable, with many major attractions located close to each other, especially in areas like Downtown, Back Bay, and the North End. If you need to cover a bit more ground, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), or the T, is a quick and affordable way to get around with its subway and bus system that reaches nearly every part of the city. For those who want to explore Boston a bit differently, the city is also bike-friendly, offering bike-sharing programs like Bluebikes for easy rentals. And if you’d rather relax, you can always grab a taxi or use a rideshare app.
Best time to visit Boston
They say the best time to visit Boston is between June and October, when the weather is warm and the city is buzzing with events and outdoor activities. However, I believe every season offers something unique. In spring, you can enjoy the blooming gardens and milder temperatures. Fall is especially beautiful with the vibrant foliage, and winter, though chilly, brings a cozy charm with festive holiday lights and fewer crowds. No matter when you visit, Boston has its own magic to offer, so choose the season that fits your vibe.
