    Maiden Cliff

This trail was absolutely beautiful. I have seen so many pictures of it, however, they did not do it justice. It was more of a workout than I thought it would be and I was surprised with how quick the elevation gain was. It did keep me warm since it was April in Maine so it was chilly, especially near sunset. As always, the sunset at the summit was stunning. Sunrises and sunsets never seem to let me down. Overall, this trail was better than I expected. I am so…

    Hermit Island

This trail was easily one of my favorites thus far. It was so beautiful that we ended up doing almost 2 extra miles because of how many times we went off the trail to see more views. It took us longer than we planned, but it was totally worth it because when we were done the sun was setting and it was stunning. Overall, the trail was a great workout, it had a great mix of hiking in the woods and hiking along the ocean, and it had several vistas,…

    Cliff Trail

This adventure was planned last minute, but ended up being totally worth it. AllTrails states that the trail is 2.1 miles long, but we strayed off the trail a few times to see lookouts and vistas, so our overall total was 2.9 miles. The day Nick and I went we decided at 4:00pm, when I was out of work at 4:30pm, that we needed to get outside. On our way to the trail it was partly sunny and warm, but once we got to the trail, the weather was cloudy…

    Potts Point Preserve

This was a great first trail to do in March because it was shorter, there was barely any snow, it had ocean views, and I only came across two people the entire time I was there. It isn’t much of a trail but you can see Maine’s rocky coast line here, casco bay, and many islands in the distance. This trail was perfect for a random adventure to get out of the house. It is perfect if you want to explore, have a picnic or if you just want to…

    Hedgehog Mountain

This was a short hike with minimal elevation gain. It was a nice trail to do in early March as Maine was slowly coming out of winter mode. It is easy for beginners and kids, plus it has as a good summit view – especially if you’re looking to catch a sunset. Overall, I would hike this trail again. It is a good hike to do as a beginner or to just get outdoors. It also would be a perfect running trail, if you’re into trail running. I think that…
